This Cottesloe home required a landscape that could withstand the harsh coastal sun and salt-laden wind. Our climate-smart design uses layered, hardy coastal plants to provide natural screening and create sheltered microclimates for outdoor living. We tackled the water-repellent sandy soil with extensive soil improvement and mulching, ensuring every plant could thrive. A limestone feature wall reflects the coastal aesthetic while providing privacy, and a new irrigation system reduces water use without sacrificing greenery. The outcome is a resilient, beautiful garden that is comfortable year-round.
